Adding a Line Output to a Green Toy Keyboard
I have a small, green toy keyboard that uses a series of small granular balls that sit enclosed on top of the built in speaker to add a little noisy effect and percussion to the sound as the keyboard it played. I like this design, but I wanted to see what it sounds like with a direct line output - bypassing this speaker setup - so I replaced the speaker with a line output. You can hear what the keyboard sounded like previously because I made a sample pack out of it.
Breadboardable Dual Gang Potentiometer
Using a dual gang potentiometer can be very useful, but such a unit is usually not very breadboard friendly - unless using a specialised design.
Adelaide Mini Maker Faire Wrap Up
A successful event, in my opinion. Many interesting exhibitors. The 3D printer atrium was especially exciting.

Teensy Basics 5: Solder the Pins onto a Teensy Board
Notes:
+ Ensure that the soldering iron fully heated before commencing soldering
+ Consider the soldering iron as a tool to heat up the junction between two points - in this case the Teensy board and the header pin
+ Hold the soldering iron tip against the junction for a short while before applying the solder, giving the two metal points ample time to heat up
+ The solder should flow smoothly and almost instantly over the junction
