little-scale and Chris Soole Gig Last Night

Chris Soole and I played a set last night at the Wheatsheaf as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival. I felt it went pretty well, and Chris seemed happy with it too. I should point out that I had not met Chris before we went on stage, and that Chris had never heard of chiptune before last night.

If given the chance, I would happily play another show with Chris, I had a great time last night and his attitude was fantastic - what a great guy.

You can download an audio recording of the set here.

This is an interesting approach to performing electro-acoustic music. I find that it is difficult to have fast variety while doing electronic music. What I mean is it is hard to be musically spontaneous and impulsive with electronics. But with an acoustic instrument, this can come naturally. It seems like a good mix to have the diversity of an acoustic instrument with the dimensionality of electronics.

@ Richard: Thanks for your comment :)

@ Rei Yano: On the coffee table there is a DS lite, a GBA SP and a little mixer :)
