Dummy Clips can be used to separate audio effect parameter from audio content, by routing the output of one track into the input of another.
One or more dummy clips on the second track store automation data that is triggered and structured independently of the audio that is routed to the track.
This opens interesting possibilities in terms of sequencing and control.
This is an example of separating multiple layers of automation from each other using a series of cascading dummy tracks.
