This looks like it will be an awesome gig... :D
Ya, for sure~
hey Sebastian,
I was trying to get the 4021 multiplexing for a digital switch to work and I couldnt download the sto_4021.h library the link is unavailable - is it possible to re-up the file.
also how would you alter the code to add more 4021s? is there a limit?
Thanks a bazillion
stan
hey im sorry to bother you so much. Im having difficulties with the 595 code and actually all the serial messages... basically i hooked everything up and loaded the arduino software but when i load max/msp it says error specified serial port not available... do you have any idea how to troubleshoot that?
stan
i figured out the port issue... i just had to change the letter to the correct port name
=)
So, did you get your whole setup working (shifting in and out)?
i got the 595s working.
i didnt get the shifting in working. is it possible to re-up the sto_4021.h library.

I am not sure if I have that library anymore. However, if you look here: http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/ShiftIn there is a great tutorial on using the 4021 shift register. The code is really easy to use and integrate into one's own projects.
If you need a hand integrating this into your project, let me know.
Very worthwhile data, thank you for your article.
