Dancing LED Indicator

This one is just for fun! A seven segment LED indicator lights up in time to the music. Each segment represents an individual note that is heard.

Seems that YouTube's framerate or conversion process has problems keeping "in time" so that it seems like the LED indicator is not responding to some notes. But in real life, it is. Well, you kind of get the point anyway...

It is only 1:23 long, so you have no excuse for not checking it out. Go here to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLInjV5P0XA

Fantastic stuff seb. I could imagine having a 10x10 (or more) array of these things, and you could program only some of them to work so when enough of them are lit up you will get a picture of some sort.

Thanks for the comments. 10 x 10, eh. Hmm. Sounds possible! But pretty difficult...

Do you mean 10 x 10 LEDS or 10 x 10 seven segment LED indicators?

Seb! call me easily amused, but this little dancing LED display is delightful. So lovely and simple. I love that you've used a "basic" LED display. Would a more complex one lose some of it's charm?
Oh us (cough) dial-up users do have a bit of an excuse not to watch (patience!). Ah but now i see the partial reason, connected at 34.6Kbps, not the usual speedy 46.6Kbps.

Hey Mik,
Cheers for the comments, glad I could entertain you (even if you had to wait in line).

Yeah, simplicity can be very effective. And boy is this one simple!
