Just saw this from make magazine. Its really great! I want to make one myself.
A question, would it be possible to modulate the water along a diatonic scale, ie rounding to the nearest note frequency? What about further subdividing and rounding the frequencies to fibonacci friendly semitone sequences? Just a thought. I would love to hear more of the music you've generated.

I guess the way to look at it is that the sensors and the lasers are just generating data.
So we can use that data in many ways in order to control aspects of sound. Many things are possible, it just depends on the mapping.
